Dragon's Lair Video Game
Dragon's Lair is one of the original laserdisc games, released in June 1983 by Cinematronics. Don Bluth was the featured animator who helped to create the game. He worked for Disney at the time. The majority of games of the time period represented the character as a sprite,
which consisted of animated bitmaps. Due to hardware limitations of the era, artists
were restricted in the detail they could achieve using bitmaps. The resolution & framerate were severely
constrained. Dragon's Lair beat those limitations by using the storage of the laserdisc medium, which imposed other limitations
on the actual gameplay. It is heralded as one of the most unique games of it's time!
